For over 20 years, we have been hosting a Friday night social dance and you are invited!
Every Friday, take a Drop-in Class before the Social Dance Night!
6:30pm-7:30pm
Intro to Balboa/Blues
Learn the foundations of some less commonly known social dances like Blues and Balboa. A great way to try a new style before signing up for a subscription to a class or to learn some new tools for the social dance floor.
Jazz/Blues Classic Routines
There are many classic line dances known among swing dancers the world over! Drop-into this class to learn the Shim Sham, the Big Apple, Tranky Doo and other routines you’ll see a group dancing on a Friday night.
7:30pm-8:30pm
Intro to Swing
Learn the very basics of swing dancing 7:30pm every week. No partner and no experience required. The topic is a bit different every week, it’s all the tools you need to move and groove to swing music at our parties on a Friday night.
Open Level Swing
For those who know the basics already, come refresh your social dance skills with a mixed-level class designed to give you inspiration for the Friday night party. You may learn some new moves or something about the music or both!

$20 per person: Take one or two classes before the dance, it’s all included!
On live music nights the entrance is $25 and includes the classes and the social.
Social dancing
From 8:30-12am the doors are open for social dancing.
Our DJs play the best recordings from the swing era and today focusing on big band jazz and the music that makes us swing.
All ages are welcome! Bring the family.
We have a bar serving alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages (cash & card accepted).
Wear what you like, there is no dress code. We encourage you to dress up on live music nights. It’s a personal choice.
You can come alone or with a partner / friend. You can accept or refuse any dance. It’s a social activity and we encourage you to meet lots of people in the room but there is no obligation.

Live Music
Once per month we welcome Montreal’s best swingin’ jazz bands to play for the dancers to enjoy this big beautiful dance floor in good company.

On live music nights the cost of entry is $25 for everyone. This helps us pay our musicians a living wage and supports our activities.
Uptempo
The first Friday of the month you can expect a few more fast tunes than usual for dancing Balboa, Shag, Charleston and of course, the Lindy Hop!
We always make sure there is a mix of tempos for everyone to enjoy the evening.
Looking for skills to be able to handle faster tunes? Join the class before the social, you may learn something groovy like the Swing Walk that can be danced up to 300bpm with ease
Blues
There are many types of Blues dances, some that are done to jazz and swing music at slower tempos (ballroomin blues) and others that are danced to Chicago, Memphis or Kansas City Blues (jukin for example).
On the 4th Friday of the month we open up two dance floors, upstairs you’ll find blues music for dancing a variety of styles.
Sometimes you’ll even find the bar moved upstairs on such occasions, explore the house and find the music you enjoy most
